Working to protect and restore Langlands Moss since 2006.

Friends of Langlands Moss Local Nature Reserve are a group of local people who became very concerned about the impact of creeping industrial development on the Moss over a decade ago. We came together and, under the chairmanship of Richard Naismith, formed a fully constituted group in September, 2006.

Working in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council Countryside and Greenspace Service, Nature Scot and other interested parties, we are dedicated to improving and restoring Langlands Moss Local Nature Reserve.

Work Starts on New Circular Route, May 2025

Visitors will soon be able to enjoy a new circular walk around Langland’s Moss.

The new route will take visitors from the Boardwalk along the track heading to Langland’s Road. Then it will turn right and follow the fence line down towards the Dickie pump/windmill. There, it will cut through to the track leading up from the bottom of the reserve to the boardwalk.

The duration of the works will be approximately 8 weeks.

The boardwalk area and main track will remain open while the work is carried out.

Signage warning visitors of path closures will be in place.
